Sisal Wall Hanging

Produced with sisal, these wall hangings are completely hand-made by Christine Kalema, a very creative and talented Ugandan artist. Christine got a bachelor degree at BIFA - Makerere University in Kampala. She originates her work from nature mainly using sisal, bark cloth, fiber etc which gives a good feel and touch effect. Her technique, manly applique (applied design) blends themes based on African lifestyle depicting activities and functions in a traditional environment. Many people have found her work exclusively unique, original colorful and interesting.

The pictures are very respectful of the real product, nevertheless please consider that the colors/patterns of the kitenge material may vary. When you order please allow at least one week before shipment.

Please beware of copies; we carry her original work and have a constant contact to her. Make sure that the work you buy carries her signature! Our duty is also to support the work of original artists!
